In their ever-expanding search for new sounds, Boston record store+ Deep Thoughts JP asked Kris Thompson (The Prefab Messiahs, Bobb Trimble, Abunai!, etc.) to put together something special for their performance area. After mulling some options, KT tapped Andrew Abrahamson, whom he'd with played in Violet Nox (Andy still does). The newly dubbed "Astral East" — a nod to Astral Chill, another of Thompson's space music projects — played a hypnotic improvised set, which was captured at close range by a stereo Zoom recorder and then subtly massaged in Andy's personal studio.

The result? Stereo space cloud nebulae are anchored by subtle tech pulses and textures, pulling you gently out of ordinary reality into special new spaces. OR?—a strangely beautiful and transporting traipse through the Venusian daisy fields of your Third Ear's fertile imagination. Choose your space adventure, kiddos.
